New Generation Cricket Camps
If we don't address the glaring deficiencies our future cricket stars
are displaying we may never again see great West Australian cricketers
the calibre of Dennis Lillee, Rod Marsh, Kim Hughes, Bruce Laird,
Graeme Wood, Geoff Marsh, Bruce Yardley, Justin Langer, and Chris
Mathews.
Technology advancements, time poor lifestyles, space restrictions,
safety requirements, public liability concerns and the loss of physical
education in our primary schools all contribute to the reduction in the
quality of your child's athletic advancement. This very important
warning has been showing up but missed on the cricket development radar
and if not addressed soon it may be too late. This factor will be a
major component that will be addressed every day at this camp.
Heres what will happen at the camp:
- Totally unique athletic development training introducing
participants to every possible athletic movement preparing them for the
future rigours of cricket.
- A comprehensive off spin and leg spin bowling
skills clinic
- A comprehensive fast bowling clinic highlighting how you
can save your child's back from certain breakdown and long term injury
- A comprehensive wicket keeping skills clinic
- A comprehensive fielding clinic showing your child the
correct throwing technique that will save your child damaging their
shoulders
- A comprehensive batting skills clinic that will
enable your child to learn how to play every shot off the front and
back foot
- An inspirational insight into what it's like to be a
Western Warrior from a straight from a Western Warrior.
- A nutrition education component informing your
child of what makes up a completely balanced nutrition and allow them
to develop into healthy, strong and naturally energised cricketers.
You and I both realise that exposing most of this information to
budding young cricketers is going to be forgotten after two to four
weeks. So instead of just pumping the kids through the camp and leaving
them to fend for themselves for a year. We are going to put steps in
place that ensures they can keep hearing the messages from the camp as
many times they like, over and over again.
Here is what we are going to provide as an added bonus
for all attendees at
the
'New Generation Cricket Camps'
- A year's membership to the 'On the couch with the Coach'
podcast program where they will receive an interview with a
professional cricket coach every month delivered to your email inbox.
- A DVD of a cricket fitness seminar titled "How to make
2006 your best cricket season ever" Featuring Justin Langer (who
demands a minimum of $5000 for this presentation) speaking about
getting the best out of himself. Gay Patterson, a well recognised
chiropractor and David Virgo, founder of CricketFitness.com
- A Western Warrior Cricket squad poster
- Automatic qualification to enter the Cricket Fitness Youth
athletic development program and entitling participants from this camp
to an initial discount.
- A DVD of the camp for every cricketer to keep so they can
revisit the coaching tips to ensure the basics being practiced are
getting completed correctly and setting great foundational habits to
build on as they progress in their cricket and athletic development.
The camp will be hosted at Breckler Park Cricket Oval in Dianella on
the 26th, 27st and the 28nd of January 2009 between the hours of 9.30am
and 1.00pm. Lunches will be provided as well as water, sunscreen and
